The Museum of Lost Teeth is an adorable story that uses fun puns and illustrations to explain what the tooth fairy does with the teeth she collects. I got a few chuckles out of this imaginative story, and I’m sure young readers will too.

The author did a fine job of making a potentially frightening time (loosing baby teeth) into an exciting and entertaining adventure. It shares the importance of taking care of our teeth without sounding like a lesson and shows how the unknown can be loads of fun.

This is the perfect book for young children who have, or will soon have, loose baby teeth. It’s witty, exciting, and educational.

In this fun take on lost teeth and tooth fairies, Toothy's fears are put to rest as he learns where baby teeth go after the tooth fairy picks them up. Toothy is one of the best teeth in Liam's mouth. But fears abound about a life away from Fang, Toothy's best friend and neighbor, and Liam who has taken such good care of his baby teeth. But The Museum of Lost Teeth is full of fun and new friends where Toothy finds a happy new life!

With a wholly-unique premise and loads of lovely word play, children and adults will delight in this very funny story about where lost teeth go. In a relatable situation that every child and parent faces, The Museum of Lost Teeth tackles a tricky subject with empathy, humour and sensitivity. There are loads of lines that parents will appreciate and children will delight in the fun puns found within story and the clever, detailed illustrations that make reading the book so much fun. My favourite part might be the apology letters from tooth fairies with excuses about why they didn't arrive on time, printed on the end pages. The Museum of Lost Teeth is treat from cover to cover!

Have your children ever asked about the Tooth Fairy, and where she takes the teeth? It is a good and thoughtful question. After reading this charming and super-cute book, children are going to be getting a lot more excited about a loose baby tooth.

Liam and Toothy are the main characters. The tooth fairy (Felicity Fairy), was one of many fairies who pick up teeth that have come out. She came while Liam was asleep and Toothy was very excited to hold on to Felicity as she flew to his new home: The Museum of Lost Teeth.

My hardback copy was beautifully illustrated and will draw children in with all its playfulness. This unique tale of the Tooth Fairy will surely be a favorite with my grandchildren.

What a wonderful picture book! The premise is simple: tooth fairies take all teeth to a museum where they’ll live. The book is fantastic and full of layers! I remember when I did storytelling, one of my best add ons was my puns and jokes only the parents got. And this book is full of puns!

The story and illustrations are adorable and the museum is full of little details like the program, the directory, the replicas of paintings! I grew up with the Ratoncito Pérez instead of a fairy but I remember wondering where my baby teeth went, and I remember imagining the Pérez mouse had wings!

I also loved that the fairies left $1 for a tooth, and nothing crazy 😜 although my mouse left me a book under the pillow once!

This was such a cute way to teach kids about the tooth fairy! Toothy is a tooth who fell out of his owner, Liam’s mouth and is now being taken to The Museum of Lost Teeth by the tooth fairy. He’s scared of the unknown at first, but as he tours his new home he is excited for the future. There are also reminders to brush and keep those pearly whites clean! I loved all of the puns in the book and I can’t wait til my son is old enough to enjoy the story as well as the pictures. He is 3 months old and absolutely loved staring at the bright, colorful pictures! The illustrations are gorgeous and the story is perfect and heartwarming.

The Museum of Lost Teeth is hands down THE CUTEST book I’ve read to my boys this year! They loved “Toothy” and the vibrant, colorful illustrations. This book was perfect timing for us because my 7-year-old has his first loose tooth! We loved reading this book together and have read it several times before bed. Looking for a fun, beautifully illustrated children’s book—look no further this is the perfect book for kids ages 4-8.

Toothy is happily hanging out in Liam's mouth. In a punny book with silly outlook on where Toothy will go once he's out. Spunky and clever, this is a fun tooth book with cute notes from tooth fairies.

Read as a nomination in the Fiction Picture Book book award category as a panelist for Children's and Young Adult Bloggers' Literary Awards (Cybils Awards).

Do you know anyone who is about to lose their first tooth? (Or has just done so?) If you are a parent or teacher of youngsters at the age when baby teeth start popping out to make way for permanent teeth, then you should pick up a copy of this book.

Toothy loves his place in Liam’s mouth because he is well cared for and his friend Fang is right next to him. Finding himself at loose ends seems like a bad dream. But when he is whisked off by a tooth fairy and taken to the Museum of Lost Teeth, he finds out that it isn’t the end of the world. Adults will laugh at Toothy’s hope that the museum will have a gift shop, or his confusion over commemorative plaques hanging on the walls. “What? The dentist said plaque was TERRIBLE! But the signs did look pretty special.”

Illustrations highlight the reactions in Liam’s mouth when he shouts, “My tooth is loose!” Toothy gasps with his own tiny mouth open wide and his eyebrows climbing in disbelief. Fang claps his hands to his cheeks in despair while another tooth wipes his brow in relief. Another fun feature is the difference between the illustrations on the dust jacket and the book’s cover. The jacket shows Toothy and Felicity Fairy walking the halls of the museum, but the cover shows Toothy perched on Felicity’s back as they fly toward the museum’s entrance. Even the endpapers add to the story, showing tooth fairies sorting letters in a mailroom (front), and a sampling of tooth fairy notes (back).

Fun for young and old as they celebrate, or commiserate, the loss of a tooth and the resulting visit from the tooth fairy.
