And as providence would happen! As soon as I re-posted two great works by former students what's the chance that another former student would post their work!!! YAY! Stephanie was a student I had at Roberts and had that spark (and a very nice color palette theme going in her work!) She is a wonderful illustrator and designer as well as having writing chops! One more post for my digital fridge!!! And Stephanie, I still show some of your work as a great student example in some of my classes ... know that you have continued to "level" up and inspire my students in their design journey!

As I was just saying in my last post here ... I am proud of my former students and thrilled to see their creative journey's unfold. Phil was one of my inaugural students at Benedictine College. Adding this to my digital fridge! (see prior post-ha!)

Well, I want to repost this from one of the Seniors who graduated this year--It's kind of like posting cherished artwork by your children and mementos on your fridge--so here's something I want to post on my fridge! Anyway, since my family is grown and busy living their own lives, these days my students have become my surrogate children (although they are young adults). I am proud of each one, no matter where they start their design journey. Some are naturals and some are late bloomers. And I have to say, I have kept artwork on my digital fridge from the very first class I taught more than 12 years ago. So my former students may not realize it, but each has touched my life and it is exciting to see where their design journey will take them. God has given everyone creative gifts, so when I hear someone say,"I don't have a creative bone in my body," that sadly, is a misnomer people unknowingly place upon their potential for this life. Each school year, I pray that each of my students will find their passion, lean in and say "yes" to pursuing it with their whole heart. Those are the students who make a difference and inspire their peers and make teaching fun!The best part is to see where their journey takes them after they graduate!

Bet enrollment will continue to climb!!! We have gone from 8 graduates in graphic design 4 years ago when the major started at Benedictine College to 54 majors in graphic design!!! https://lnkd.in/gNq9CRiP

Well this will save tons of time when creating symmetrical objects instead of the reflect option. Sometimes new features are helpful, other times designers wonder who decided to implement features as they can be annoying. One thing that illustrator still lacks is a better way to save files out to PDFs.
