"Commander, over there...." Marian spoke as if her voice was becoming more mechanical and lifeless.

Suddenly, Marian walked to that direction, her eyes becoming an empty, dull red like those raptures as if losing control over her body.

"Ah, so it is beginning...." You said as if mourning to her, letting out a gentle resigned sigh you set out to follow her.

"Hey! Where are you going, the elevator to the Ark isn't that way!" Nacht said, before a quick realization befell on all of them.

"Over..... Th-e-e-e-e-re...." These words became a haunting chant to the MP Nikke who heard it, as Nacht covered her mouth in plain shock.

Marian was chanting this single mindedly without being interrupted.

"Commander, you have to terminate her now. " Rapi said, pointing at Marian, "Or, should I?" Her rifle was raised to point at the corrupted Nikke, intending to do it herself.

But you lowered that same rifle with your hand, gesturing her to follow the corrupted Marian, leaving her confused.

"Marian!" You raised your voice, curious to see if she would respond.

She did not, and only kept moving to one direction, chanting the same words again.

"Commander! Get away from her, Alva Particles are rising quickly!" Nacht yelled, prompting you to take several steps back.

Then, she turned around to gaze upon you, shaking in fear.

"Co-m-m-man-de-der.... Pl-e-ea-se-e.... Lo-o-ok.... Away-y-y--....."

You kept staring, unable to move your eyes away from her dull crimson ones, as a black tentacle emerged from a building nearby, zipping towards her.

Rapi pulled you backwards before the tentacle's sharp bladed tip cut her arm off, before wrapping around her torso and taking her away.

Marian's weapon dropped to the ground, perhaps from the tentacle cutting the material that held her weapon in place.

*Tak!*

*Rattle*

"Marian!" You were shocked, even if you know this was going to happen, seeing it right in front of you for real is a different experience.

Then, your system flashed a crimson screen in front of your eyes.

[ ! WARNING ! WARNING ! WARNING ! ]

[ Tyrant Approaching! ]

[ Codename: Blacksmith ]

[ Tyrant Rank: D ]

In the next moments, a gigantic Rapture charged througha building, sending many debris towards your group.

The rest shot down the debriscoming your way, before going into an attacking position as they stared at the rapture that had appeared just recently.

"Everyone, into position!" Rapi said, aiming her weapon towards it.

At the sight of this being, Nacht was immediately stunned in fear.

"That's...! Why is it here again...? Why, why?!" Nacht began to shake in fear, her fingers were feeling cold and stiff and her instincts were already screaming at her to run away.

"Commander, Nacht's breaking down, just as we started to fight hat thing....!" Agnes spoke as she was firing bullets to the Tyrant.

"Yeah, come here!"

You pulled Nacht behind a thick cover.

"Nacht, look at me and take deep breaths!" You said, gently grabbing her shoulders, and despite her distress, she tried to follow your instructions.

"Hey, it's not the time to talk about the past right now, so whatever happened right there, keep it in the past." You said, trying to think of a way to cheer her up and rouse her spirit.

"You have to get up, after all as long as I am here your worries are going to be gone, simple as that, right?"

Then, you gave her a smirk and pointed at her chest.

"If you cannot believe in yourself, then believe in the me that is inside of you!"

Nacht looked up to you as for a moment she pondered upon your words that struck her head.

Then she looked away when her cheeks became pink.

'Hey.... Seriously, commander.... Depending on the context I might take that differently. But, I'll still try....'

"Thank you..."

"Alright, welcome back soldier. Get going, we're going to slay a Tyrant."

Nacht sighed, yet still thought of you as undeniably crazy for trying something quite ridiculous.

"Commander, I request to call for reinforcements." Nacht said, and you simply nodded. "This should take a while."
